Doctors’ surgery
The University of Northampton advises all students to register with a doctor on arrival, rather than waiting until they are ill.
To register with a doctor, students will need to take their National Health Service medical card or fill out a registration form. Students also need to notify the doctors' surgery if they change their address.
Students living on Park Campus can register with the Park Campus GP Surgery, which is situated in the Medical Centre, next to the Student Centre on Park Campus. A doctor and a practice nurse are available each weekday during term-time, and the receptionist from 9.30am-4pm (3pm on Fridays).
Students who do not live on Park Campus should contact Northampton Primary Care Trust on 01604 651100 for information about doctors in other areas of Northampton.
General health information on local doctors and dentists can be obtained through the Student Services' help desks at both Park and Avenue Campuses.
Students can also visit the NHS Direct website for information about a wide-range of health issues and conditions, or telephone NHS Direct any time on 0845 4647.
For more information about the doctors' surgery, please call 01604 892582.
Should you wish to make an informal complaint please see the Student Services complaints procedure and form.
