Student Ambassador Scheme

It pays to represent your university

The Student Ambassador Scheme is an excellent way for students to earn while they learn.  We regularly employ students to give campus tours to prospective students, be on hand at Open Days, and help out at all manner of other promotional events on or off campus.

Some of the activities ambassadors are involved with:

  • Higher education fairs
  • Open Days
  • Campus tours
  • Taster Days
  • General office work within Marketing and External Relations (M&ER)

The Student Ambassador Scheme is flexible and works around the busy timetables that students have.  Ambassadors have no obligation to work a minimum amount of hours, and we understand the importance of students' studies - and expect these to take priority.

Encourage Ambassadors to represent your course

We try to encourage students from all Schools and courses, undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and alumni to represent the University as ambassadors.  Many prospective students say they feel current students act as a valuable source of information and offer a real insight into student life, therefore we encourage our academic Schools to promote the Student Ambassador Scheme to their students.

It pays to encourage enthusiastic students to join the scheme and promote the course they are currently studying.

What's in it for students?

The Student Ambassador Scheme provides students with the opportunity to work while they study and gain valuable skills and experience.  Ambassadors will develop their communication, presentation and social skills as well as gaining experience of working with young people.

We pay our Student Ambassadors over £6 per hour.
