Achieving your award

To get an award, you must have:

  • Completed the modules detailed on your award map
  • The right number of credits. So for a 3 year degree you need 360 credits, for a top-up 120 credits, and so on. Some module grades may not count for your classification, but you must still pass all your modules. Condonement of an F+ grade does not apply at Level 6.

See how the University calculates your classification.

Some awards (usually professional courses or those which give professional exemptions) have Supplementary regulations.

Results

Provisional results are available on the web (please note these are taken down for finalists for several weeks during May and June).

We hope you are pleased with the results you have achieved, but if you are disappointed, please note the following:

  • If you feel there has been an error in entering the result or during the process,  please let your Student Admin Team know straight away.
  • If you are unhappy with your grade it is important that you get feedback from your tutor to find out where you went wrong. It isn't possible to get any piece of work re-marked.
  • It isn't possible to repeat a module that you have already passed in order to get a better grade.
  • If after all your resit opportunities you have failed level 6 modules adding up to more than 40 credits, you may be able to continue with your studies but will not be eligible for an Honours degree at this point.
  • If, after reading the guidelines on this page, you wish to appeal or complain, please see our Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
