Safety
The Safety branch of the Occupational Health and Safety Office is responsible for:
- Ensuring the University of Northampton and its managers are aware of its legal obligations in regard to safety
- Advising on the management of health and safety issues
- The production of safety policies and procedures
- The production of safety guidance documents
- Accident/incident investigation
- Accident/incident data collation and analysis
- Safety audits and inspection
- Training on safety related issues
We can provide:
- Advice and assistance with a range of risk assessments including noise and Controls of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments
- General safety information
- General and bespoke safety training
- Provisions of first aid (consumables and training)
- Advice and assistance with the management of Fire Safety at the University of Northampton
- Up to date information on current safety campaigns
