Support for new staff

The University offers all new members of staff an Orientation programme. This includes:

• A new starter pack (you should have already received)
• Local orientation (within your School/department)
• Information about mandatory staff development sessions
• The support of a trained mentor
• Support for new academic staff. If you are a new member of staff, but particularly if you are new to lecturing or the Higher Education context, then the information on this page will provide support for your professional development at The University of Northampton
• Beginning teaching in HE. This is delivered by the University and is compulsory for GTAs or anyone new to teaching in HE
