Staff development, training and continuing professional development

The University of Northampton is committed to ensuring that staff have access to appropriate training and development opportunities.

New staff are fully supported as soon as they join the University with a comprehensive orientation programme. All staff benefit from IT training and an ongoing programme of development opportunities.

The University offers formal opportunities for staff to progress in their career through continuing professional development (CPD), including teaching qualifications, fellowships and external CPD events.

Staff also benefit from opportunities to participate in a wide variety of volunteering projects where they can use and develop their personal and professional skills.
