Tips and Tricks

The new passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain the following criteria:

• at least one capital letter
• at least one lowercase letter
• at least one number
• at least one special character   ! " £ $ % ^ & * ( ) _ - + = : ; . ~ # < >

Don't Panic, Use Tricks!!

Trick 1: Use an image or photo

Think of a picture you know well! it may be a wicker basket with 8 oranges, no bananas and a pear wrapped in foil in it. From this image your passwords could be: 

• 8_Oranges
• W1ckerBasket# 
• n0-Bananas
• Foi1~pear5

Or it could be a holiday photo:

• 6guys_spaiN
• Sungla55~s
• NoMichae1?
• Red_and_Yell0w

Trick 2: Use the letters/words from a song title or phrase, and substitute numbers for some letters

• All that glitters is not gold - password: Not_G0ld
• I'm dreaming of a white Christmas - Password: 1'mDofaWC

Trick 3: Combine easy words, and/or substitute numbers for letters

• Pen_Penci1
• Chocolate~247
• My-D0g-Bing0
• Le$$isM0re

Trick 4: use words backwards

• Fred_Smith becomes Ht1ms_Derf
• 99honda_accordbecomes99adnoH_drocca
