Delivered Hospitality booking system

The University offers a range of delivered catering options available in teaching rooms and offices across both campuses. These drinks and food items can be ordered and delivered to the room of your choice between the hours of 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Authorisation

To access the system you will need a valid PIN which can be obtained by emailing lorraine.horn@northampton.ac.uk. If you are not a cost centre manager this email should come from your cost centre manager authorising you to make bookings on their behalf. Once your PIN has been received, you should enter this whenever making a booking.

Charging system 

The PIN, together with the finance expenditure code, will allow automatic transfer of funds from your budget after the event has taken place.

The total value of the booking will be calculated by the system and confirmed to you by the Commercial Department. This is the amount that will be transferred out of your budget. If you have special requirements you will need to contact the Commercial Manager to agree a menu and cost before completing the form.

Please note that only cancellations and alterations agreed with the Commercial Department in advance will be deducted from the charge.

Booking information

To prevent disappointment, orders should be placed before the minimum notice deadline. The catering team will endeavour to accommodate bookings at short notice wherever possible however cannot guarantee that the entire order can be fulfilled and alternative products may have to be supplied.

Hospitality at standard prices is available Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm both in and out of term time. Enquiries outside these hours should be directed to the Commercial Department on catering.park@northampton.ac.uk.

If you need to make alterations to a booking you have placed please email the Commercial Department. If the alteration is possible within the timescale you will receive an email acknowledgement and a revised price.

University restaurants

The University of Northampton operates the main servery within the restaurants at Park and Avenue Campus. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Where possible it is our intention to deliver products with 4 key principles:

  • Healthy
  • Ethical
  • Local
  • Organic

Healthy

We only use olive or rapeseed oils in cooking and where appropriate fresh butter and dairy products. No hydrogenated or artificially hardened fats, beef dripping or pork lard areused in the preparation of food nor do we add salt in cooking.

Homemade soups and a daily vegan or vegetarian option are available as is a choice of freshly prepared salads. A daily made roast dinner or daily special is available, along with low fat options. The weekly menu will be published on the website a week in advance.

Ethical

Fair-trade tea, coffee and sugar are offered in all outlets. We only use free range eggs and meat locally sourced. Our meat suppliers are from within the UK and with higher welfare standards for animals. Where possible, we limit our food miles and only use food which is in season. Halal choices are available and clearly marked.

Local

We use local butchers and slaughter houses for our meat supplies and we support local bakers and greengrocers for fresh supplies on a daily basis. We hope to continue our support for food grown in Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties.

Organic

Where practicable we source and utilise organic products and these items will be clearly labelled.

We will endeavour to meet the needs of our diverse university community by offering choice and flexibility in our menus whilst continuing with these four key principles.
