Virtual tours help

Here is a list of frequently asked questions about how to use the virtual tours. If you have any specific problems that are not covered below, please contact the web team.

  • Why can't I see the virtual tours?
  • I am getting a red JavaScript error message, what does this mean?
  • How do I control the virtual tours?

Q: Why can't I see the virtual tours?

A: If you cannot see the virtual tour, then you are probably missing the software that is needed to view them. The software is free, and you can use either QuickTime or Java. We recommend QuickTime for the best experience.

QuickTime

  • Download QuickTime for Windows
  • Download QuickTime for Macintosh

Tip: The default QuickTime download for Windows comes with iTunes, but for a quicker download. You do not need to fill in your email address if you do not want to.

Java

  • Download Java for Windows
  • Download Java for Macintosh

Q: I am getting a red JavaScript error message, what does this mean?

A: If you are getting a message saying 'You do not have JavaScript enabled so cannot view the virtual tour', then this means you need to enable JavaScript in your browser.

For instructions on how to do this, consult the 'Help' menu on whatever browser you are using. If you are using Internet Explorer 6.X then instructions are below:

Instructions for Internet Explorer 7.X

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  3. In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
  4. Click Custom level button at bottom. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
  5. Under Scripting category enable Active Scripting, Allow programmatic clipboard access and Scripting of Java applets
  6. Click OK twice to close.
  7. Hit Refresh.
