The University maintains an open access digital repository, a collection of online journals and has a research data policy which promotes open access to research data. Digital Repository
The Northampton Electronic Collection of Theses and Research (NECTAR) is The University of Northampton's institutional repository. Its purpose is to showcase University research. NECTAR contains articles, conference papers, research theses and other research outputs.

Northampton Open Journals
Northampton Open Journals is the University's collection of academic journals. Editorial control of these journals rests with University members, but each journal has an editorial board drawn from the wider academic community.

Research Data
The University's Research Data Policy states that, in accordance with the recommendations of Research Councils UK (RCUK Policy and Code of Conduct on the Governance of Good Research Conduct 2009, p.5(PDF)), primary data and research evidence will where possible be made available to others after the completion of the research.
