Open research at The University of Northampton

The University of Northampton is committed to making the research outputs of its members freely accessible to the wider community. The University maintains an open access digital repository, a collection of online journals and has a research data policy which promotes open access to research data.  Hear more about open access from our Vice Chancellor and other academics in our videos on open research.

Digital Repository

The Northampton Electronic Collection of Theses and Research (NECTAR) is The University of Northampton's institutional repository. Its purpose is to showcase University research. NECTAR contains articles, conference papers, research theses and other research outputs.

Northampton Open Journals

Northampton Open Journals is the University's collection of academic journals. Editorial control of these journals rests with University members, but each journal has an editorial board drawn from the wider academic community.
