Facilities and resources
The University of Northampton offers specialist facilities for Science and Technology students. The School of Science and Technology is based in the newly refurbished Newton building, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Science and Technology students have exclusive use of bespoke computer labs, including a lab specifically for mobile application development.
The Newton building is home to the NVision centre, an advanced facility offering the latest three-dimensional modelling and visualisation capabilities.
The University of Northampton is the only university in the UK to have its own tannery, as well as offering specialist laboratories for chemical and physical testing for Leather Technology students.
Students also have opportunities to gain practical experience away from campus. Geographical and Environmental Sciences students have opportunities to undertake field trips in the UK and abroad. Paid work experience opportunities are available to Engineering students through the Northants Engineering Training Partnership.
