Facilities and resources
The University of Northampton's School of Health courses are taught in bright, modern buildings and there are specialist facilities which allow students to gain practical experience while still on campus.
The University offers a custom built hospital ward on campus, where students can learn and practice their skills in realistic situations.
A well-equipped scientific laboratory is also available with facilities for all School of Health students. There is also a sports laboratory where students can simulate situations and better understand the physiology of exercise and sport.
The University has also recently opened a paramedic skills laboratory which includes a custom built ambulance simulator to give students undertaking the Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science hands-on experience. The ambulance offers a realistic training environment and includes electronic and multimedia features.
There is also a dental skills suite with fully operational dental equipment, allowing students undertaking the Foundation Degree in Dental Nursing to practice using key instruments and equipment.
