Welcome to the home of Early Inspirations, our Early Years Continuing Professional Development (CPD) network.  We hope that this will help you to keep up to date with some of the exciting developments and CPD opportunities that are going on within The University of Northampton and across the region.

Many of you have now completed your Early Years Professional Status which ministers have described as the 'gold standard' for work in early years, but that doesn't mean you stop learning. 

Being a professional means an ongoing commitment to reflective practice and personal and professional development. This includes keeping yourself up to date with the latest national and local policy initiatives and the growing body of research evidence that supports effective evidence-based practice. It also includes being open to new ideas, learning from each other and being prepared to innovate, systematically evaluate, justify and be accountable for what you do.

We hope that this network will help to create a community of research and practice in the early years across the East Midlands region which will support practitioner-based research and inquiry, sharing ideas and good practice.
