The Pay, Pensions and Management Information unit provides professional expertise and support to the Director of Human Resources in delivering HR services relating to payroll, pensions and HR management information.
The payroll team is responsible for ensuring all employees of the University are paid on time and accurately. This includes the processing of all payments and salary deductions to Inland Revenue and pension schemes, ensuring all increments and statutory payments are paid to staff (sickness and maternity) and ensuring the University complies with all legislative requirements.
The Management Information team is responsible in maintaining and providing accurate, legislative and compliant staff-related data and reports for managers and the HR team. The integrated computerised HR system (linking with both the finance and student systems) provides detailed statistics and reports to inform the University's Strategic Planning and to return to external agencies reports as required (for example, HESA).
