Assessment

Assessment provides the focus of your study. In order to be successful, to proceed to the next stage of your course, or to achieve the qualification which you are aiming for, you will be judged on your performance at the formal assessment in each of your modules. This video gives:

  • guidance on completing your assessments
  • information about the assessment regulations

You want to be successful and we want you to be successful. Tutors will provide you with information, guidance and support in preparing yourself for assessment.

In addition, there are arrangements that apply to the administration of assessment, designed to provide further support as well as ensuring fairness and equity for all students. The Policies, procedures and guidelines section provides information and guidance on these processes, including policy in relation to what we call Mitigating Circumstances, factors that are outside your control (such as illness) and which prevent you from meeting assessment requirements.

This year's assessments

You can:

  • check your provisional results as soon as they become available
  • download the latest bulletin which contains details of re-sits and re-enrolments, amongst other useful information
  • find guidance on completing your studies.
If you would like to talk to someone please make an appointment with your Course Leader, Personal Academic Tutor, or with an Academic Advisor through the Framework Office

If you have re-sit examinations and need accommodation on campus during that period please contact the Accommodation Office.
