Graduate unemployment is at an all time high. At the same time many employers are struggling to find young people with the skills they need to fill their vacancies. To address this issue and to reduce graduate unemployment, The University of Northampton and two commercial partners have set up a new social enterprise - Coco Careers.

Working with our partners, we have developed new models for developing the confidence and competence of our candidates whilst also offering skilled workers for employers. Coco Careers has three main objectives:

• To improve undergraduate employability by providing temporary work placements, ongoing training and development and one-to-one services and workshops
• To deliver commercially aware, productive, industry-ready graduates into graduate level jobs by helping them with verified academic histories, referenced work experience and ongoing training for improved employability
• To provide scholarships & bursaries for studying at The University of Northampton
