The Podiatry Clinic
The School of Health's Podiatry Clinic, situated on Cliftonville Road, Northampton has been changing over the last year, facilitated with investment of over £50,000 from the University.
The monies have enabled the Podiatry team to further enhance the student and patient experience with investment in research, new and innovative processes and equipment. Patients at the clinic will be receiving an enhanced experience and under the new business model, are able to self refer.
The Podiatry Clinic welcomes all members of the general public and staff and students from The University of Northampton offering a range of clinics from general to sports injury (lower limb). There are an increasing range of treatments including advanced injection techniques and acupuncture and the opportunity to purchase podiatric products on site to enable patients to optimise foot health. Bespoke insoles are also available via consultation.
Students also benefit from the change by piloting a Student Ambassador scheme - students have the opportunity to gain transferable skills and relevant work experience enhancing employability. It also adds value as students gain insight into how professional enterprise can contribute to wider social needs in health.
The clinic offers a wide range of podiatric therapies for the lower limb, with expertise in orthopaedics, sports, paediatrics and nail surgery.
