Annual reports

External Examiner Annual Reports are a key component of the University's quality assurance systems and are widely circulated within the institution, using a standard distribution, which includes the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Head of Quality and Curriculum Services as well as academic staff.

The University requires its external examiners to provide an annual report using the External Examiner Report form which should be submitted by email. Internally, the proforma allows comparison between subject areas and guides examiners as to the issues on which comments would be most helpful to the institution.

External examiners should receive a response to their annual report within three months of its submission, from the School to which the examiner has been appointed, indicating planned actions arising from the report.
