'Ten Reasons - Leading on Social Enterprise' highlights some of the ways The University of Northampton is integrating social enterprise into teaching, learning, and research and improving the economic, social and cultural life of the county.

Ten reasons:

1. Work placements in social enterprises - students will be able to complete work placement modules as part of their course
2. Volunteering - we operate a co-ordinated volunteering service throughout the county
3. InSpirE Northants  - supports new and existing social enterprises, and community and voluntary organisations throughout the county
4. Social Entrepreneur in Residence - to identify opportunities for new social enterprises
5. Social enterprise in action - social enterprise projects and initiatives
6. Social Enterprise Champion for Corby - first town in the UK to have its own social entrepreneur
7. UnLtd - the world's largest social enterprise start-up programme
8. Northampton Institute for Urban Affairs - works with the community to deliver sustainable improvement projects
9. New student experiences - social enterprise is increasingly being integrated across student courses
10. New knowledge - research into developing new knowledge about what works in making social enterprise effective
