Short courses and conferences

The School of Social Sciences at The University of Northampton regularly hosts conferences which are attended by academics, journalists, researchers and policy makers.

Recent conferences have included an international conference on youth, new media and social change as well as a conference examining students' use of alcohol.

The School of Social Sciences also hosts an annual debate on contemporary American politics which is open to local students. This year the debate was led by two former members of the US House of Representatives.
