E-strategy
The e-strategy provides a cross-institutional mechanism for investment in and development of:
- the ICT infrastructure
- staff training
- ICT skills
- the use of ICT for student support
- scholarly communication
- digital library services
- document content management
- corporate management information systems (MIS)
A 'Students Life' gives a snapshot of the features which are currently available to support students in the University.
The e-strategy document was revised in the autumn of 2009. The revision places greater emphasis on:
- audience/customer focus
- an integrated whole institution ('Enterprise') approach
- the effective exploitation of new tools and techniques
- direct alignment with institutional priorities such as the student experience, and the resource context
Significant strands within the e-strategy include:
- the NEWBIS programme
- NILE
- e-strategy projects
The University manages the e-strategy through 3 cross-institutional working groups:
Information regarding these working groups is available for staff only.
