What do we offer?

We recognise that every individual has a different approach to learning and therefore offer a diverse range of teaching methods and resources; from study packs, to online and class-based workshops, to one-to-one tutorials (these can be face-to-face, via telephone or online).

Book an appointment

To book your first tutorial appointment with CfAP, you can call in to the Library Help Point on either campus, they will be happy to book you an appointment.  Alternatively email us at cfap@northampton.ac.uk. For further appointments you can book online.

Alternatively, if you are unable to wait for an appointment, you can visit one of our drop-in sessions.

CfAP is located at both campuses: MG1, in the Avenue Library and the CfAP area, in the Park Library.

New to Higher Education?

If you are new to HE, why not consider our Flying Start programme which will help you to prepare for study at the University of Northampton.  Supported by experienced lecturers and fellow students, you will be introduced to the HE learning framework and have the opportunity to work with others in the same situation as you, and to raise any issues or concerns which you may have.

If you feel you would need a longer programme, there is the Study Skills for Academic Success. This is a ten week module with two intakes per year: October and April. This module is designed to help you gain the appropriate academic skills for studying in Higher Education.

Maths GCSE

CfAP runs the Maths GCSE course for current undergraduates and those intending to study at the University Northampton.  If you wish to either improve your Maths GCSE grade or gain this qualification to further your career - why not enrol on our next intake in October.
