Partners in industry

The University of Northampton offers organisations the opportunity to employ a student on a one year student job placement. Placement students have already completed two years of their degree at Northampton Business School.

The University of Northampton has partnered with a wide variety of organisations to provide student placements that benefit both the student and the organisation.

Small, medium and large organisations from a variety of sectors are all welcome as potential hosts for University of Northampton placement students.

How does a student job placement work?

Placement students are usually employed full-time from June/July until September of the following year. Students are employed and salaried by their placement organisation.

During the placement the student and the employer are supported by a visiting tutor from The University of Northampton. Employers are not required to submit lengthy reports; they only need to give feedback to the visiting tutor twice during the year.
