Assignment dates

Deadline dates are published in the module guide for each module. Any changes will be communicated via NILE or by the tutor. We recommend that you organise your time to make sure you meet these deadlines. If unexpected events disrupt your time management, discuss this with your tutors and see Options if you have problems. If you need to improve your time management skills, the Centre for Academic Practice can help.

Resit in year (or deferral if you have mitigating circumstances)

For programmes that run from October to June; if the original deadline is up to Friday 2 March 2012, the deadline for the second opportunity will be published in the module guide. It cannot be later than Friday 4 May 2012 and may be much earlier. Extensions on resit work are not permitted.

End of year resits

If the original deadline is any time on or after Monday 5 March 2012, then the provisional resubmission/deferred deadline will be Tuesday 16 July 2012. If the item is an examination in May/June, the resit date will be in July and will be published on the exams website.

For different start dates there will be an equivalent set of deadlines.

These are the only opportunities to improve on a failed grade.
