Exam arrangements for disabled students
Access Ability processes applications for adjustments in formal examinations. For any recommendations to be put forward the student is responsible for providing medical or other supporting evidence.
You can apply for adjustments in exams if standard exam arrangements do not allow you to demonstrate your academic knowledge because of a disability. However this is not an automatic arrangement - you need to apply. To apply or change your arrangements please make an appointment with the Access Ability Team.
The deadline for May/June exams is the end of the autumn term - so don't leave it too late!
If you need adjustments in time constrained tests or any other exams and assessments that fall outside the formal exam periods, discuss your requirements with your course tutor.
More information on alternative arrangements for additional needs students is available in the Student guide to exams.
