The University of Northampton's School of Health staff are highly experienced in providing research and development, consultancy, training and advisory services across all sectors.

Microbiological consultancy

The School of Health has a wealth of expertise including molecular biology, microbiology, physiology and nutrition. We offer services to businesses which include HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), specific food manufacturing standards, improving quality standards, reducing bacteria, health surveillance for employees and new technologies in extending shelf life.

Our facilities also give us the opportunity to provide advice and services on testing samples for microbiology and we are able to generate key analysis and data to aid adherence to regulations.

Product design/analysis

With over 15 years of experience in product design and analysis, the School of Health has the knowledge and facilities to analyse and trial products in a number of different market areas. From footwear (sports, general or medical) to occupational therapeutic products we can assist businesses in any health related areas.

Sport analysis

Our Sports, Exercise and Life Science division are able to provide analysis on footwear, sports equipment and athletes. In addition, we can offer nutritional advice and training.

Health and wellbeing

Our dedicated Centre for Health and Wellbeing Research is able to assist organisations in areas such as staying healthy, mental health and wellbeing and quality and innovation.
