Support with using library resources
A wide range of support is available from your friendly and professional team in Library and Learning Services:
Academic Librarians
A team of Academic Librarians are available to provide help and support with your assignments. You can take advantage of personalised one-to-one appointments to discuss finding information for your assignments, including dissertation and getting help with referencing. Research students also have the benefit of a research support specialist who can advise on other services and research resources.
If you have a quick enquiry or are a distance learner, you can email libraryhelp@northampton.ac.uk.
Get to know your Academic Librarians
Subject support is available in the Academic Librarians' office so please come in when the doors are open. For longer enquiries (and at busy times of the year) you may need to make an appointment in advance with your Academic Librarian.
Login queries
If you are having problems with your University login please refer to the University login page.
Help with NILE
Any queries regarding the University's online Virtual Learning Environment can be sent to the NILE team on LTSupport@northampton.ac.uk
Distance learning support
Distance learners have access to a number of services to make life easier. You will automatically qualify for Postal loans and you can manage your library account online for renewing and reserving. You can also make use of libraries nearer to where you live or work via the SCONUL Access scheme.
Extra Library Support and Assistance (ELSA)
If you have a disability, mental health issue, medical condition or specific learning difficulty that you feel prevents you from making good use of our libraries then ELSA can help.
