e-Journals (Metalib)
Metalib is the portal which provides University of Northampton students and staff with access to a range of electronic resources that the Library subscribes to. These resources include databases, full-text electronic journals and books, as well as other web based resources.
IMPORTANT (29/04/2010): All users must change their campus login password (if they have not already done so), in accordance with the strong password guidance, before continuing to access Metalib.
If you are on campus press ctrl-alt-del and choose the change password option.
If you are off campus you will need to ring the Information Services Help Desk on 01604 892222 and your password will be reset for you.
Your new password is used for both Metalib and logging in to University computers.
You can use Metalib to identify resources that are relevant to your subject area of study, and you can then search these resources individually, or as a group.
You will need to login with your campus login. If you do not know this, or have any other questions, please contact your Academic support team, or use the Virtual librarian to ask for help.
Most of the subscription databases require an Athens username and password to access them, however there are some that have their own individual login and you will need to click on the 'i' to view the information.
