Business and Economics
The University of Northampton offers a wide variety of Business, Economics and International Development courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional level.
Students can combine undergraduate business courses with another subject such as Marketing, Law or Psychology in a Joint Honours programme. There are over 45 options available.
Students are also able to undertake work placements, with many courses including a paid placement year in industry. Placements are fully supported by the University's Centre for Work-based Learning.
The University also offers Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes which last two years and can be topped up to a full BSc (Hons) Business and Management. These follow a range of specialist pathways including Marketing, Travel and Tourism and Finance.
A Foundation Degree (FD) in Business is also available. This qualification emphasises workplace learning and is therefore suitable for students who are in part-time employment.
A wide range of career opportunities are available to Business students. These include public and private sector employment in Marketing, IT, Human Resource Management, Planning and Accountancy.
Business and Economics courses:
I chose to study at Northampton Business School as my fellow students recommended it to me as one of the best business schools around. It's also situated in a wonderful rural location but is still near to many major cities, including London.
