History

The University of Northampton offers an undergraduate History degree, BA (Hons) History. The course can be taken as a full single honours degree or combined with other subjects in a joint programme. Postgraduate courses, including provision for PhD supervision, are also available.

History at The University of Northampton covers a diverse range of British, European, American and Colonial history from the 15th century through to the 21st century.

The course covers topics such as the history of crime, warfare, diplomacy, medicine, gender, politics, culture and society. The course also reflects staff's research interests which include witchcraft trials, the Holocaust and aspects of both world wars.

History at The University of Northampton is taught by practising historians, who are active in research and regularly publish work. The course is taught at the University's Park Campus.
