Probation and Policing

The University offers two Foundation Degrees for students who are interested in working in policing or probation. Foundation Degrees last two years and directly qualify students for entry into the police or probation services.

FdA Police and Criminal Justice Services

FdA Police and Criminal Justice Services is a Foundation Degree which meets the national occupational standards for policing as a member of the Northamptonshire Forces Police Specials. On completion of this course students will be qualified to apply to join the Police as a Police Constable.

For more information about FdA Police and Criminal Justice Studies please contact Bob Lyman.

FdA Offender Management

FdA Offender Management is a Foundation Degree through which students learn how to work effectively with offenders, undertake placements and learn how the probation service fits into the wider criminal justice system. The FdA meets the occupational standards required by the probation service.

For more information about FdA Offender Management please contact Nick Hartop.
