Politics

Politics at The University of Northampton can be studied as a single honours BA (Hons) Politics undergraduate degree, or combined with other subjects in a BA/BSc (Hons) Politics (Joint Honours).

Politics students at The University of Northampton are initially introduced to the essential concepts and techniques of political analysis. Students are then able to choose from a considerable range of specialist modules, allowing students to 'tailor-make' their degree according to their own interests.

The course takes into account the changing nature of politics on a global scale, and equips students with the skills to make an informed analysis of a wide variety of movements, ideas and situations.

Joint honours Politics students can further broaden their studies by combining Politics with another complimentary subject such as Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, History, Geography and Business Studies.

The University also offers a postgraduate MA International Relations. There is also provision for postgraduate research degrees in a variety of areas relating to politics.
