September Lunchtime Seminar - Genetic association studies and their relevance to musculoskeletal soft tissue injury

The School of Health at The University of Northampton presents in association with NHS Northamptonshire Genetic association studies and their relevance to musculoskeletal soft tissue injury.

Genetic association studies are often used to detect gene variants that can predispose individuals to disease. In this seminar Dr Stuart Raleigh will review the current research which focuses on genetic susceptibility to sports related injury to the Achilles tendon.

Dr Stuart Raleigh is Reader in Molecular Biology within the University of Northampton’s School of Health. He has extensive experience in the design of both genetic association and linkage studies to identify gene variants that might increase the risk of complex diseases.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.
