Women on Boards - Professor Nada Kakabadse

Northampton Business School has pleasure in inviting you to the first in a prestigious guest lecture series.

Professor Nada Kakabadse will speak on 'Women on Boards' - based on extensive global research concerning board and director effectiveness, this presentation will examine the role and contribution of women on the board.

The lecture will examine: What makes an effective board? The changing nature of governance; and the cultural influence on the process of wealth creation and company performance.

The special place of women on boards will be explored on an international comparative basis contrasting developments in the UK, USA, EU and Ghana.

Professor Nada K. Kakabadse is Professor in Management and Business Research at The University of Northampton, Northampton Business School. She has co-authored 14 books (with Andrew Kakabadse) and has published over 140 scholarly articles. She has pursued one of the most extensive global studies on board and director performance and effectiveness, covering countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Russia, China, Turkey, South Africa and EU states.

The lecture takes place at 6pm on 7 February 2011 at Sunley Management Centre, Park Campus.
