International students' support
We hope you will enjoy your time as an international student in Northampton and gain from your experience here. You bring an alternative cultural perspective which will enrich campus life and learning for all of us.
While you are at The University of Northampton, you will find support for your development both from within your academic programme and from the staff of Student Services and others across the University.
As an international student, depending on your own background, you may find some differences of culture, law, university rules and regulations more difficult to understand and adjust to than others. We provide an international students' orientation programme to help you with this, the International Students' Handbook and Student Services is here to help you throughout your time here.
In conjunction with Accommodation Services we can provide guidance and information on renting in the private sector. We provide an International Students' Guide to Private Renting (Word 232KB), and are on hand to answer questions about renting privately.

Introduction of Tier 4 on the 31st March 2009
The student visa requirements changed on the 31 March 2009. The student category has been replaced by Tier 4 of the Points Based System. For further information, please see the UK Border Agency webpage and the UKCISA webpage.
