Financial Services Management (fast-track top-up)

The financial services marketplace is a significant and growing sector of the UK and world economies that now demands high quality graduates with relevant and up-to-date qualifications and knowledge. This degree offers holders of the CII professional qualification, the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or its equivalent, a fast-track entry onto the above BSc degree.

Professional qualification to include the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DRFP) or equivalent.

Course content

During this course, students will learn about the key aspects and developments in the delivery of financial services planning and management such as corporate risk management, tax planning and financial services marketing. The course will integrate work-based experiences and skills and students will be expected to relate theory and practice to the workplace.

Assessment

A variety of teaching and learning strategies are used including workshops and tutorials. A number of innovative methods of learning and assessments are used, including computer modelling and video presentations. Units are assessed using a mixture of coursework, presentations and projects.

Career opportunities

By converting your CII professional qualification, the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, to a degree, the programme is designed to enhance your career opportunities especially within your existing employer network. Holding a degree is often considered a requirement by employers for middle and senior management positions and so this degree may help remove barriers to promotion.
