Course content
The UCIC is suitable for experienced cleaning managers, hygiene and infection control managers or suitably qualified/experienced people aspiring to a management position.
This course looks at the scientific background, including hygiene and hazards, that a cleaning manager would need to know in order to fully understand the reasons why particular strategies and conventions need to be followed so as to be better able to make decisions in a given situation. This would enable managers to formulate good practice over the longer term. The course provides the underpinning theory and the application of principles and concepts essential to help assess and control the risks of infection and hazards in the workplace.
UCIC promotes the practical application of scientific principles to help managers meet everyday issues, arising in both public and private sector cleaning organisations.
UCIC has also been designed to offer flexibility in terms of both where and when the learning takes place.
