Course content

The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills they require to become effective logistics and supply chain managers and supervisors. The course not only aims to develop skills in logistics from an international perspective but also provide the student with knowledge and understanding of economic and political and financial risk factors affecting the world economy. The course is also suitable for those who may be interested in following a career in transport, supply chain management and commerce in general or those wishing to continue with academic study.

During this course, students will learn about the key aspects and developments in the delivery of international logistics and trade finance. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and evaluate the factors shaping the International trading environment. This is a one-year programme requiring the student to study a number of interrelated modules in the field of logistics, finance and management.

There is a specialist 'Business Communication' module available for international students. In addition, students can choose an issue of particular interest to them and, with the support and guidance of a project supervisor, complete an 8,000 word project.

Fees quoted are for home and EU students commencing their course in the academic year 2013/14. Tuition fees are payable for each year of the course. The fees are subject to annual increases in subsequent academic years.

Continuing 2012/13 'home' and EU, full time, undergraduate students  who commenced their current course prior to 1 September 2012

will pay a full time fee of £3465 in 2013/14 provided they:

- have not taken  break in study (other than the normal vacation period)

- continue on the same mode of study

Transferring from another UK university or college? If you are currently studying at another UK university or college in 2012/13 you may be eligible to pay fees under pre-2012 regulations. You will be asked to provide a letter from your current UK university confirming your study details in 2012/13 to enable us to confirm your tuition fee for 2013/14.
