Course content
This course considers music from a number of practical and theoretical angles. It has a hands-on practice element, enabling students to develop their creative skills in composition/song-writing and cultivate their general musicianship. The symbiotic relationship between performance and theory provides an integrated degree that studies contemporary performance techniques and enhances musicianship. The students develop a substantial piece of work within a self-critical and reflective framework. Students will be introduced to the application of contemporary music technologies and hone performance and production skills.

Fees quoted are for home and EU students commencing their course in the academic year 2012/13. Tuition fees are payable for each year of the course. The fees are subject to annual increases in subsequent academic years.
Full time fees

Current 2011/12 'home' and EU, full time, undergraduate students
will pay a full time fee of £3465 in 2012/13 provided they:
- have not taken break in study (other than the normal vacation period)
- continue on the same mode of study
