Course content
The course is rooted in the needs of team and service managers and leaders for leadership and management development. It enables people in health, social and voluntary services and their organisations to meet the needs of the different communities they serve.
Our programme is based on the nine themes of the NHS Executive's Embodying Leadership (2000), and incorporates core attributes of the Leadership Qualities Framework (2002) and the Knowledge and Skills Framework (2003). Its blended learning approach uses events, which include tutor-led workshops, group tutorials, action learning sets and performance coaching which will provide stimulation and support.
Special course features
- Customised and high-quality learning support material with web-based support
- Flexible learning opportunities to fit into busy schedules
- The whole programme will link up-to-date theories, ideas and frameworks directly to the work place
- A feature of our approach is the integration of issues of equality, and ways to challenge inequalities, directly into each module
