Course content
Drawing on expertise across a wide range of animal categories offered by Moulton College, the course will further develop the student's analysis of the scientific background underpinning the study of animals.
This course builds on the HND/Foundation Degree programme in Applied Animal Studies and is available as a level three course only. All students undertake a research methods programme and complete a research project based on a topic of particular interest within the animal sector. There is flexibility in the choice of topic although all students will work under the guidance of a project tutor. In addition students may select two streams for specialist study.
Modules are available in the areas of zoo management, veterinary health, animal science, animal behaviour, animal conservation or animal welfare. The pathways available may be influenced by student numbers. Students wishing to enter the course from other animal related HND or Foundation Degree programmes may find their option choice determined by previous experience.
