Support mechanisms are in place for all students, staff, businesses and the wider community that are interested in either getting involved with an existing social enterprise or for those who wish to set up their own. Below are some of the ways in which you can get involved in social enterprise at the University of Northampton:

  • The Enterprise Club offers a complete support service through one to one business advice, mentoring, business skills training, access to funding opportunities and networking
  • Inspire2Enterprise is a social enterprise support service providing information, specialist advice, training, consultancy, coaching and mentoring to new and existing social enterprises and social entrepreneurs
  • Higher Education Support Initiative – the University of Northampton is a pioneering partner for the UnLtd and Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) HE Support Initiative
  • Changemaker Campus is a one stop shop of social enterprise resources, information and news
  • Enterprise Inc. and Big Bonanza provide funding and support to help get your idea up and running
  • University Centre for Employability and Engagement (UCEE) provides volunteering and placement opportunities
  • Dialogue Café lets you speak face to face with social entrepreneurs anywhere in the world so that you can share experiences and collaborate to make the world a better place
  • The Students’ Union gets you involved in social enterprise activities through the University’s clubs and societies
