A lecture in progress

You will find a wide range of learning, teaching and assessment methods at The University of Northampton. You will gain valuable skills needed for your working life and to enhance your personal experiences.

Our Quality and Curriculum Services team supports our Academic Schools in the delivery of quality processes. They ensure we meet and often exceed external and internal standards for quality management.

Flexible learning will give a strong emphasis on teaching you to apply information. For example, questions may have no right or wrong answer but will give scope for opinion and debate.

Traditional lectures, seminars and tutorials are in place but there are also opportunities for students to gain credit for work undertaken in the workplace. Work-based learning (WBL) such as Foundation Degree courses, is becoming increasingly more popular.

On many courses students have the chance to work or study abroad or to undertake a combination of both.
